1680x1050 WP: Three Thousand Fireballs

I'm not entirely sure how to describe this one... It started out as a really simple Julia-based fractal in Apophysis, and then I added a polar-to-rectangular-conversation filter to it in PSP and the whole thing just kinda exploded!

And then I added colors.

As for the name, I had a story idea in mind when I came up with it, but I won't bother explaining any of that right now since the last thing I need right now is to start yet another writing project... (I even have a writing assignment with a deadline now. I don't normally do well with deadlines, aside from enjoying the noise they make as they whoosh past and then wondering, "What was that?")
