WP: Shell Shocks

Original fractal created with Fractint. All the coloration and the 3d effect were added later (much, much later) with Paint Shop Pro.

The unique twist to this one is that I rendered the original fractal in grayscale, a plain single black-to-white gradient. Then, instead of selecting or creating a color palette in Fractint (not exactly a user-friendly process), I was able to define the gradients however I want them with PSP's "curves" function instead. I get a lot more versatility that way! (It's the same thing I do to my "False-color" photos.)

Just out of curiosity, how many of my dA watchers are also watching my journal entries? Right now my guess is somewhere around 20%...
